From the Practice Director

We measure ourselves by the families who stay

A practice earns its reputation slowly. It is earned when a grandmother's blood pressure is checked with the same care in her twelfth year with us as in her first, and when a son working abroad can telephone and be told honestly how his father is doing.

My responsibility is to keep Willow Crest steady: well staffed, well organised, fair in its fees and dependable in its records. Our doctors bring the medicine. I make sure that everything around them allows them to practise it properly.

If you ever have a concern about the service you receive, my office door is open, and I would much rather hear it from you directly.

Our history

How the practice has grown

  1. 2009

    Two rooms on Ihama Road

The practice opens with two consulting rooms, a small dispensary and a waiting room of twelve chairs.

  2. 2012

    The first home visits

At the request of families caring for elderly parents, a weekly home-visit round begins across GRA and Ugbowo.

  3. 2015

    A laboratory on site

Our own laboratory opens, so blood sugar, kidney function and cholesterol no longer require a separate trip.

  4. 2018

    The chronic disease register

Every patient with hypertension or diabetes is placed on a register, with scheduled reviews and reminder calls.

  5. 2021

    Extension and step-free access

A ground-floor extension adds two consulting rooms, a treatment room and step-free access throughout the building.

  6. 2024

    The Chronic Care Programme

The register becomes a structured programme with monthly plans, now followed by more than 600 patients.

How we practise

Principles we have kept since the beginning

Time

Appointments for older patients are booked at double length. Nobody is shown out mid-sentence.

Careful records

Every reading and result since 2009 is kept, so your doctor sees the trend and not only today's number.

Family involvement

With your permission, a son, daughter or carer may join consultations or receive updates by telephone.

Fair fees

Prices are published, explained in advance, and reviewed no more than once a year.

The team

People you will come to know

Our doctors are registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and our nurses with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
